It overheated, blew a cap, and took everything in the case with it. The computer I blew was using a cheap Enermax PSU that shipped with the case, and it cost me the mobo, memory, processor and even the video card. That's what keeps your system stable during 3D renders. The quality and power capacity of your power supply is also important. This also depends a lot on the case you use, if it offers sufficient air flow during renders. Those will not take advantage of the 4-pin sockets. Even if the mobo offers 4-pin sockets, it's important to buy 4-pin coolers, for most are 3-pins only, which will still spin at a fixed rate.

3-pin sockets can only spin the fans are a fixed speed, even when the hardware needs more airflow. I strongly recommend mobos with 4-pin sockets for coolers, which allow automatic and real-time speed control depending on the cooling demands of your components. No matter what hardware you have, it's important to make sure your case has sufficient cooling to protect the components during extended rendering periods. I have already blown 2 video cards (GTX 275 and GTX 480), and an entire system - motherboard, power supply, memory and processor, all fried during Poser renders. It's a conundrum, because slower machines will have to render for longer periods, so they tend to overheat and slowly degrade the components over time. Select from multiple pre-made characters, like cartoon heroes, animals, and robots, dress them in clothes. 3D rendering is very taxing on the hardware, so it's not to be taken lightly. I got past the loading screen, but, as soon as the actual GUI was loading, 'the Poser 10 executable fille stopped working. Everything was working fine until yesterday, when I tried to open Poser.

c.6 am Greenwich Mean Time: My Poser 10 (version 10.1) still refused to work.As for the causes, it is easy to assume that 3D rendering on such older machines can cause overheating, which shortens the lifespan of the components. I have Poser 10 with the latest SR 5.2 installed on my Windows 10 machine.

I'm going to try this "Andy-thing" and hope for a better result. I have already tried all what you suggested with no success. Change the preference for Library Embedded Type from 0 to 1 and save the change. Step 2: Open the Preferences for Poser 10 with Text Edit. I'm sure this isn't the right thread for my problem and I have to start deeper investigations on this issue. Anime Studio Debut 10 Create Your Own Cartoons & Animations Anime Studio Debut is your complete animation program for creating 2D movies, cartoons, anime or. Find Poser 10’s preferences in the local user file that matches the current user. When you re-install I suggest overwriting your preferences when applying SR1. Did you set a preferred state or are you always launching with Andy? When you uninstall Poser, it never goes completely off your system and those remnants could cause issues, especially if on launch it calls up old memory and can't find what it is looking for.

I also vaguely remember having had issues with an update concerning the preferredstate.pz3 which prevented it from launching but I don't want to give you false information. I know it sounds all a bit lousy but maybe worth a try.

Also make sure you install the latest version as there has been an update since release. Run the Poser exe directly from the directory and not from a thumbnail once installed. Maybe you should install it unto a different drive or location and then launch it from within that directory.

Poser Pro 11 was never affected by this update and thus the troubles that you, kruse, are having must come from somewhere else.
